Overseas trade show grants available to promote your Bridgend business
The Department for International Trade (DIT) is offering grants to eligible businesses to attend overseas trade shows to help expand promotional opportunities to a global audience.
The grants are available as part of the Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP), which provides funding for a specific TAP calendar of supported international and European events.
· market knowledge
· experience in attending and getting the most from overseas trade
· advice and support from trade experts
The TAP grants must be matched by the business’s own expenditure on direct exhibiting costs, for example:
· exhibition space costs
· stand costs - including design, construction and stand dressing
In some cases grants may also be agreed to match against direct conference costs where the purpose of attending is to promote the business, for example:
· conference fees
· cost of preparing conference promotional material
At each event, an accredited Trade Challenge Partner will lead the UK’s involvement, as well as co-ordinatingthe group of businesses that are attending.
Further information on TAP eligibility criteria, how to access the grants and on the specific trade shows that are supported can be found on the Gov.uk website: www.gov.uk/guidance/tradeshow-access-programme.
