View town centre footfall stats on council’s website
Footfall describes the measurement of people in a particular place and is widely used within the retail industry to help businesses assess and benchmark a store’s performance and gauge the vibrancy of a particular location. Footfall data is available for Bridgend, Porthcawl and Maesteg town centres – this data is collected by Springboard under licence to Bridgend County Borough Council.
Total footfall is the overall number of people who have passed through a specific location, week on week is the percentage change versus the previous week and year on year is the percentage change against the corresponding week in the previous year. Footfall data for the week commencing 27October 2019 is now available on the council website - https://www.bridgend.gov.uk/business/town-centre-footfall-data/.
